On Wednesday apple announced that it had sold 270,000 of its iPhones in the US.
This number is the total combined sales of the 4GB $499 model and the $599 8GB model sold on June 29th and June 30th.
Apple also announced that it made $818 million in profits during its third quarter, a increase of 73 percent.
As well Apple stated that the iPhone sales, which occurred in the final 30 hours of its fiscal third quarter, would account for only $5 million dollars in revenue in its quarterly total.
