Online Retailers Hammacher Schlemmer, have available for preorder a R2-D2 robot unlike any other. He is a home theater system with many features.
This R2-D2 has a built-in DLP projector in his head. The DLP projector has a resolution of 1024 x 768 and a contrast ratio of 1500:1. In one of his mechanical arms is a built-in DVD/CD player and the vents at the front of this robot can be moved to reveal an iPod docking station.
And audio can be listened to through his 20-watt built in speakers. The robot also comes with a model of Millennium Falcon that contains a remote.
The R2-D2 home theater system sells for $2,799 and is expected to ship on 09/28/2007.
