On Monday Microsoft officially announced the price reductions for the Xbox 360 systems in the US.
The flagship model, Xbox 360 Elite, will be reduced from its original price of $480 to $450. The middle range model, the Xbox 360 Premium, will see its price reduced from $400 to $350. And finally the introductory model, the Xbox 360 Core will have its price reduced from $300 to $280. The price cuts will go into effect starting August 8, 2007.
You knew this was coming. There was no way that Microsoft was going to allow Sony to reduce the price of the Playstation 3 and not take any action.
But its all good. Hi-Def gaming goodness at cheaper and cheaper prices. Its a beautiful thing.
