Apple has unveiled its new iMac computers. The iMac line consists of two models which are entire computer systems encased in slim aluminum frames. These sleek all-in-one computers come in 20-inch and 24-inch screen sizes.
The 20-inch model carries a starting price of $1199 while the the 24-inch model starts at $1799. These computers carry the latest Intel Core 2 Duo extreme processors with speeds of up to 2.8 GHz and support up to 4GB of RAM. To handle graphics processing they are equipped with either the ATI Radeon HD 2600 PRO with 256MB of memory or the ATI Radeon HD 2400 XT with 128MB of memory. To meet ever increasing storage needs the new iMac computers can be equipped with up to 1 TB of hard drive space.
All iMacs are shipped with the OS X version 10.4.10 Tiger and iLife ‘08 and come with the new ultra-thin keyboard, the mighty mouse and a remote control. A cordless version of the new iMac keyboard is available at the end of August. The new iMac computers are available now.
