The retro look of this camera is very appealing. Its called the MiniDigi and its manufactured by Rolleiflex of Japan. This camera is based on the Rolleiflex camera produced in the 1920’s. However, the MiniDigi is significantly different from its predecessor for two significant reasons.
The first is that the MiniDigi is significantly smaller than the Rolleiflex and the second is that its internal components are composed of today’s electronics. As a result the MiniDigi has 2-megapixel sensor and stores photos on SD cards which it houses in a slot on the bottom.
The MiniDigi does still hold some similarities to its predecessor however, for e.g.on the top of the camera is a LCD viewfinder which the user looks down into to prepare for taking the shot. And the camera has a crank which is used after a picture is taken to proceed to the next shot. The MiniDigi is available now in the US for $199.
