Here are some pictures of the production versions of the new BMW M3. The engine in this pocket rocket is a V8 which outputs 400+ hp and weighs less than the previous models V6.
The pictures were taken at the at the Regensburg BMW Plant in Germany. One interesting thing to note is that it is speculated that a sunroof will be available as an option on the new M3.
I thought that since the roof was going to be made of light weight carbon fiber that precluded the possibility of that happening. Perhaps BMW has developed a way to have the carbon fiber roof with the built-in sunroof? Anyways, we will know in a few months. It is scheduled to come to the US in the middle of 2008 as a 2009 model.
