At the IFA 2007 Sharp announced their new BD-HP205 Blu-Ray disc player.
The player’s most unique feature is its ability to support discs with BD-Java and therefore make use of their special features.
The player also supports the Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD audio formats. Other features included in the BDHP205 are its 1.3HDMI output, 24fps film playback, and its ability to upscale regular DVDs from their standard resolution to 1080P.
Sharp’s BD-HP205 Blu-Ray player will be available in the fall, however the price has not yet been announced.
