The 4GB USB flash drive from Corsair has a built-in display that shows the remaining capacity on the drive.
The drive has what is referred to as a Bi-stable Cholesteric Display (BCD) which uses 4 digits to display the unused space left on the drive. Also of note is that the (BCD) can display the information for up to 1 year with needing a battery.
The drive also comes with software that displays the amount of space used, the sequential read speed and the burst speed which it achieved.
Why don’t more USB drives have a built-in space indicator?
Its a great idea.
