BMW’s new M3 convertible is equipped with a folding metal roof which collapses into the trunk when open air motoring is desired. However, its standout feature is the M double-clutch seven-speed transmission which allows for faster and smoother shifts and should result in better performance times than the manual or SMG transmissions.
And like the sedan and coupe variants the M3 convertible is powered by the same V8 which produces 420hp and 295lb-ft of torque. The V8 engine should enable this convertible to go from 0 to 60 in a quick 5.3 seconds. The coupe and the sedan versions will be available in the US in march for $57,275 and $54,575 respectively. The availability and the price of the M3 convertible have not yet been announced.
