Having recently had some hands-on time with Sony’s 16.4-inch FW notebook and Acer’s 18.4-inch Aspire 8920G notebook, I’m really excited to hear of the new AW series of notebooks from Sony.
Their AW series will feature 18.4-inch screens with a 16:9 ratio, a 1920 X 1080 resolution, and some of the RBG LED technology that Sony uses in the consumer BRAVIA LCD tvs. Other goodies include Intel Core 2 Duo processors, a 512MB NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT graphics card, and dual drives including SSD. As well, some models will come pre-installed with Adobe Photoshop Lightroom and Elements.
The Sony AW series notebooks are set to be released in Japan fairly soon so details on an American release should come shortly.
