I can’t say that I was very interested in seeing this film until I saw this latest trailer. When concept of this film was announced I was not interested in it at all, I was not even considering renting it.
When it was announced that Christan Bale would be playing John Connor, my interest when up enough to consider renting it.
After hearing that John Nolan, brother of Christopher Nolan was one of the writers involved and seeing the first trailer I knew I would definitely be renting this film. But after seeing this second trailer for Terminator Salvation I am now considering seeing it in the theater.
The question is will Terminator Salvation be a film that good enough to pay an outrageous fee to see in the theater and to endure the annoyances caused by others who will also be seeing it at the cinema?
To give you an idea of how picky I am when it comes to the quality of films I see in the theater I’ll say this - the last film I saw in the theaters was The Dark Knight and before that it was Batman Begins.
There’s still a possibility that this film could disappoint. This could be because of the director McG. I don’t know how good/bad of a director he is.
If he is given the right elements such as a good script and good actors can he direct good performances from his actors to make characters that are worth caring about? Can he create a film that not only has memorable action scenes but more importantly memorable characters?
All this remains to be seen, but for now I can see that McG knows how to create a very good trailer.
