Porsche has unveiled a preproduction version of its Cayenne gas-electric hybrid SUV. The hybrid engine has increased gas mileage by 20 percent. This allows it to deliver 24.4 mpg highway versus the 17.9 mpg of the standard V-6 equipped Cayenne. Production photos of the Austin Mini Clubman have been released to the public. The Clubman is built on a longer version of the platform of the standard Mini. The most notable feature of Clubman are the suicide doors on the passengers side which are designed to aid those getting in and out of the vehicle.

The standard version of the Clubman is powered by 1.6 liter four cylinder engine that has 120 hp and 118 lb-ft of torque. The “S” version of the Clubman is powered by a turbo-charged 1.6 liter four cylinder engine with 175 hp and 177 lb-ft torque. A 1.6-liter common rail diesel producing 175 hp and 177 lb-ft torque will be available in Europe.

BMW’s new M3 sports sedan has a V8 engine. The engine produces 420 hp and does zero to sixty in 4.7 seconds. The car goes into production in September and will be released in Europe. A US release will follow later. Edmunds review the car.
