Toshiba has added a HD-DVD-R to their Qosmio G45-AV680 laptop . This make it the world’s first laptop to include a HD-DVD-R drive. This allows the consumer to burn up to 30 gigabytes of data onto a single HD-DVD disc. And when not burning data one can also can use the drive to watch HD-DVD movies. Notebookreview.com has done a review of Alienware’s mighty M9750. This notebook is geared toward serious gamers. The reviewer’s notebook was equipped with a 17-inch LCD, a Intel Core 2 Duo T7600 with a 2.33GHz processor, 2 GBs of RAM, a SLI enabled dual Nvidia GeForce Go 7950GTX video cards with 512MB of memory, two 160GB harddrives and a 8X dual layer burner. The notebook as configured was $4448. The reviewer declared it a winner, praising the notebook for its overall performance, build quality, look, and display.

Samsung has released a 19-inch notebook (or should that textbook) pc called the Sens G25. The G25 has a number of unique features. The first of these being its 19 inch lcd screen with a 1000:1 contrast ratio. The second feature of note would be its number keypad. Another unique feature of the G25 is its 7 usb ports. The G25 has a320 gigabyte harddrive. Its price is 1,000,000(KRW) which converts to $1088.02 USD. The G25 will be available in Korea in late july unfortunately there is no word on any possible US dates.

Lenovo presented a special red notebook to commemorate the 2008 Olympic games which will take place in Beijing. The top of the notebook has on it graphics which represent fire. The notebook has a 12.1 inch screen with a resolution of 1280 by 1024. The notebook looks very nice. It would be great if Lenovo would add a model with color to their consumer notebook line as well.
