The Alneo line of MP3 players from Victor Japan may have questionable looks but their features are nice. In addition to this the Alneo MP3 players have a very unique feature, line-in recording. This feature allows them to take audio from external sources and encode it into the MP3 format at a maximum bit-rate of 160 kbs.
An external mike allows these MP3 players to be used for mono quality voice recordings. They have a 3-line OLED display and weigh 37 g. They come in 1GB and 2GB capacities, are WMA compatible and have a 20 hour battery life. These players are exclusive to the Japanese market and are priced at 15,000 YEN (approximately $125) for 1GB or 19,000 YEN (approximately $160) respectively.
