
It is rumored that later this year Cowon is going to release a version of their D2 portable audio player with a 16 gigabyte internal flash drive. If this is true it will be great for consumers. The faster that these 16GB, 32GB, 64GB and larger capacity flash drives become mainstream the better. The flash drives are more reliable, and use less power than harddrives. More updates as more information becomes available.

Bang and Olufsen have introduced a new model to their line of mp3 players, the Beosound 6. This player has 4 gigabytes of internal flash memory, a 1.8 inch color screen, a 24 hour battery life and is compatible with both WMA andMp3s . The price is £400 which comes out to a little over $800 in US dollars. It is scheduled to be released over the summer. $800. Wow. I’m interested in knowing who the target market is for this.

Thanko has released a PMP watch which can play MP4s. Its color screen comes in one of two sizes, 128 by 128 pixels or 160 by 128 pixels. And it comes in two storage capacities 2 gigabytes and 4 gigabytes.
